Make a nice string of lights
Make a string of mushrooms lights.
I am completely crazy about lights.
Especially in the dark days, but also on the terrace on warm summer evenings.
Now I had the idea for a while to make a string of mushrooms lights, man acorn caps.
And they came...
What do you need?
To start, go for a lovely walk in the forest in the fall, and look for beautiful acorn caps.
I washed them briefly in water with some vinegar and let them dry well for a while.
A battery-powered LED light string of your choice.
Acrylic paint red and white, and a varnish I used decoart liquid glass myself.
And finally a glue gun.
How do you proceed
When you have found the acorn caps, first wash them briefly in water with a little vinegar in it, this against bugs. Then you let them dry very well.
Then you paint the hats with acrylic paint in I used 2 different types, and that is no problem at all.
I myself used a good layer of Liquid glass from decart to varnish them.
I added some glitter to this varnish for a bit more sparkle.
You let this dry well again.
Then you stick the hats on the lights with your glue gun and fill the bottom a bit with glue.
And then your light garland is ready... and now be honest, isn't this really fun to hang up?
