I had a very old statue of a girl from my parents.

It was such a blue-colored statue that was completely hip 15 years ago.

I like color more so I thought a coat of paint would do her well.

Here is the picture in which condition it was.

I first cleaned the figurine well, and provided it with a layer of white paint. This may well be gesso.

Then I mixed up different brands of paint, because I don't have all the colors of all brands, and it works surprisingly well.

So after a few hours of relaxing painting, she was completely recovered.

I put her aside for a few days so she could dry properly.

Every time I walked by I found the colors a bit on the bright side.

Now I like colors but not for such a statue.

I thought I had brown wax from Americana, and I completely edited her with it.

I must say that gives a very nice result.

Here she is under the roof so she really doesn't need a layer of varnish,

If she's out in the rain, I would definitely do that.



I'm going to look for a new project for you again, because there is so much fun in the hobby area.
